Day by day itinerary
Upon your arrival either arrange for an airport pickup or make your own way to your hotel in the lively city of Tel Aviv. Check in and take some time to unwind and acclimate to your new surroundings. For those interested there's an optional exploration of this relaxed, coastal city including a tour of Old Jaffa and St. Peter’s Church provided your flight arrives in the morning. Spend your evening enjoying the vibrant atmosphere along Israel’s Mediterranean Coast before settling in for the night.
Start your day with a hotel pickup and head to the ancient city of Caesarea constructed between 25 to 13 B.C. by Herod the Great and named in honor of Caesar Augustus. Next travel to the picturesque foothills of Mount Carmel a coastal mountain biblically symbolizing beauty and fertility. Visit the impressive Stella Maris Monastery marvel at its cross shaped main church and explore the holy site of Elijah’s Cave etched with inscriptions from the Byzantine era. According to ancient beliefs this cave served as Elijah’s refuge from persecution. Conclude your day with an overnight stay in the Galilee/Tiberias area.
Begin your morning with a serene 1-2 hour boat ride on the freshwater Sea of Galilee famously known as the waters Jesus walked upon. Proceed to Capernaum the village where Jesus resided during his ministry. Stroll along the beautiful shores of the Sea of Galilee and visit the Mount of Beatitudes the site of Jesus' renowned Sermon on the Mount. Then explore Caesarea Philippi notably mentioned in the Gospels of Matthew and Mark. End your day with another restful night in the Galilee Tiberias region.
Your morning begins with a hotel pickup followed by an exploration of Magdala and Nof Ginosar where you can see the famous "Jesus Boat," noted throughout the Bible. Continue to Tabgha and visit the Church of the Loaves and Fishes. Later visit the Yardenit Baptismal site along the Jordan River offering a unique opportunity for Baptism amidst the breathtaking scenery. Spend another night in the Galilee/Tiberias area.
Set off for Nazareth to explore significant sites such as the Church of Annunciation the Holy Grotto, the ancient village of Nazareth and Saint Joseph’s workshop. In Cana visit the wedding church, noted in the Gospel of John and discover the ancient village of Sepphoris (Zippori) with its remarkable mosaic of the "Mona Lisa of the Galilee." Ascend Mount Tabor to visit the Church of the Transfiguration and explore Megiddo in the Jezreel Valley and the stunning Mount Precipice. Conclude the day in historic Jerusalem staying in one of our recommended hotels.
After pickup from your hotel visit the Church of the Ascension believed to be the site where Jesus ascended to Heaven. Continue to the Pater Noster and recite the Lord’s Prayer as Jesus did. Explore Dominus Flevit where Jesus foresaw Jerusalem’s destruction and wander through the Garden of Gethsemane to visit the Church of All Nations. Cross the Kidron Valley mentioned in the Book of Joel and enter the Old City through the Lion’s Gate to reach the Pools of Bethesda. Visit the Church of St. Anne and the room of the Last Supper then explore the cellars of the Covenant of the Sisters of Zion. Walk along the Via Dolorosa and visit Bethlehem’s Manger Square and the Church of Nativity. Spend the night in Jerusalem.
Start your morning with a leisurely stroll on the Mount of Olives, enjoying one of the city's best views. Travel to the ancient fortress of Masada and choose to either hike the snake path or take a cable car to the top where you can explore the ancient ruins and admire the stunning views. Stop at Qasr el Yahud believed to be where Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist. Conclude your day at the Dead Sea floating in its healing waters before returning to Jerusalem for the night.
Bid farewell to Israel as you are transferred to Ben Gurion Airport for your departure concluding your mesmerizing journey.
