WHAT WE OFFER

Do You Have Questions ?

Yes, it is safe for tourists to visit Muscat because Oman is known for having its kind and inviting culture, and the country's crime rate is relatively low. It would be best if you still use caution as you would in any tourist location, just for awareness.

The best time to visit Muscat is during the winter, which lasts from October to April, when the temperature is refreshingly mild. At this time, you are free to explore the city on foot and take part in outdoor activities. The summer months are not recommended for visiting because of the extreme heat and high humidity prevailing throughout that time of year.

Even though Muscat is a free city, it is courteous to dress modestly, especially while entering public areas and houses of worship. Both men and women should cover their knees and shoulders. Swimwear is acceptable around the swimming areas and on beaches.

A few of the multiple sites that Muscat is well-known for include the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, the Mutrah Souq, the Royal Opera House, the Al Jalali and Al Mirani Forts, and the Bait Al Zubair Museum. Strolling through Mutrah's historic village and soaking in the gorgeous views from the corniche are also highly recommended, and more to explore there.

While renting a car offers greater independence, public transportation in Muscat is dependable and reasonably priced. A few buses connect the main parts of the city, and taxis are widely available. Many tourists also find combining both convenient, depending on their interests and schedule.

Respect and courtesy are valued in Omani society. Salaam Alaikum (which translates to "Peace be upon you") is a common greeting. It is customary to accept dates and Omani coffee offerings while visiting someone's home. Photographing individuals requires their permission, especially when it comes to women. Respecting regional traditions is highly appreciated.

The Omani Rial (OMR) is the currency used in Muscat. Even if major establishments like restaurants, motels, and other companies accept credit cards, it is recommended that you keep cash on hand. This is particularly important for smaller firms or local marketplaces.
